International Fire Inc. recently completed a comprehensive addressable fire alarm system installation and sleeping area notification upgrade for a multi-family residential property located in the Fillmore District of San Francisco, California. Under San Francisco Fire Code Section 1103.7.6.1 and SFFD Administrative Bulletin 3.08, existing R-2 residential multi-family buildings (apartment buildings and condos with three or more units) with existing fire alarm systems must upgrade sleeping area audible notification appliances to meet 520 Hz low-frequency sounder standards. Our technicians installed a new Fire-Lite ES-50X addressable fire alarm control panel, integrated 520 Hz low-frequency sleeping room sounders, mounted a dedicated System Records Document box, attached official State Fire Marshal inspection tags, and established 24/7 central station monitoring connections.
